I have noticed a large number of bug reports and suggestions in the previous thread about the new Developer Preview. Please remember that we will typically not review issues posted in comments or mentioned in the chat. If you want the issues addressed, post them in the feedback tracker. This applies to the ones you have already posted – please file them under "Developer Preview" in the feedback tracker.
Cheers,

I agree on the location of the ptopics…my bad for starting that review process in the wrong location, but there is one glaring problem with your comment about Baker labs reviewing topics…
The responsible parties are not addressing the outstanding issues already contained within the chosen venue.
As Disposable Heart pointed out in a recent forum topic, the biggest problem with foldit is the lack of active participation in this process by development team members and members of the larger Baker-Labs team who ultimately benefit not only intellectually but economically from the data garnered.
I do not fault admin in this… he has gone out of his way to attempt to address the many issues presented, but as he has said on many occasions, he is not responsible for the science or programming of the game, only the network.
It is to these other beneficiaries that I am addressing this reply.
That includes both the primary beneficiary, Dr. David Baker, who has posted only once that I am aware of, and perhaps more-so his molecular sciences research team who is in possession of science details that can answer many of the questions posed, who is presumably repsonsible for representing Dr Baker's intent, and for which the the programming team has said on many occasions they cannot answer due to lack of substantive knowledge… The few answers that have come have been imo, quite terse and quite vague, and in many previous cases quite wrong (for instance Veritas was wrong on most counts when he participated briefly, and he seemed more interested in playing games than making the game more usable or the players more accurately informed).
Truth be known. more substantive information usually comes from other players guesses and the occasional fortune of having someone play who also has a background in molecular/protein sciences than from Baker Labs' participation.
In case the project management doesn't realize it. there's a price for "free" data and ideas. Timely and accurate feedback and answers. As is often pointed out in so many other aspects of life, there is no free lunch.
