It's been a while since our last big update, but we've got a developer preview ready of the new sequence alignment tools ready. If you are interested in trying it out, please read the FAQ, and report and problems or suggestions in the feedback tracker under the "Developer Preview" project.

I can't find a FAQ on the new Alignment Tools.

There is no FAQ about the new tools. "Please read the FAQ" means read this part of the FAQ:
"Q: How do I try out the Foldit Developer Preview?
A: Locate your Foldit data directory (see previous question). Open the file options.txt and change the update_group variable from 'main' to 'beta'."
So there is no documentation of this major new tool except for a tiny video, which raised more questions than it answered.
There are a few informative tutorial puzzles about this new tool.
