Developer Preview: Tracks

Hey everyone,

After reviewing player feedback for the issues surrounding removing the need for cloned accounts, we've developed a new system: Tracks.

Tracks are different sets of quicksaves and recent/credit/absolute bests. You always start in the "default" track. You can create new tracks and doing so will copy your current pose into the new track, and give you a fresh set of quicksaves and bests (you will still be able to access all of your manual saves between all tracks).

This system should allow you to do parallel exploration, even on the same install and on the same account.

To access the track dialog, go to "Tracks" in the undo menu.

Tracks are available for testing on the Developer Preview.

Also in this update:

Lua scripts can now set bands to a maximum size of 10000.

Wiggle should be slightly faster.

Note: The update has to restructure your quicksaves and autosaves and put them into different directories. While we've tested this on all platforms internally, it may still delete your auto/quicksaves in the developer preview. If you're worried about this, backup your quicksaves and autosaves before the update, and please create a feedback if something does go wrong.

Hum ! The update worked, (no message about crash) ,but my puzzles are back to the beginning, and i can't return to my best score!
I red "developer preview" but i don't know now how to come back. i opened foldit before reading.

Can you tell me which file i have to unload . Mac is not simple for me. i saw that today a lot of them changed but i supposed that i have to unload only one?
As mac doesn't say that i have made an update, i suppose that it is in foldit file.

I'm waiting for an answer. And english is not my first language, so please try to be simple…..

Tx a lot

Hi, Tracks are great so far.

For me, I did not loose any saves as I copied the files before as suggested.

Suggestion:

b1) One thing I noticed, it would be a plus to have the Undo history switch with the tracks. That way you could make a track of earlier Rebuild and switch back to your current track and continue as if you did not "save" to a new track.

Keep up the good work!
