Cloned accounts

As indicated in a previous news posting (http://fold.it/portal/node/989662), we are preventing accounts reported as clones from competing on the leaderboards. You can still see the account information and scores on the account's page, it will still be able to chat, but it will not show up in the puzzle rankings and will not be assigned points based on ranking.

For exploring multiple folding pathways, consider using the tracks feature.

Is there any possibility to regain older achivements which are lost due to fresh restart after heavy program hangups in Linux?
Due to the frequent hangups and unwanted program exits
the programme directory is cluttered with files of dubous status.
In order to regain a cleaner status I downloaded again
using the same account but the achivements are lost.

Is there any solution for this unsatifying situation?
