As stated in the Puzzle Description for 554: Quest to the Native CASP ROLL Target R0007, due to the lack of a new CASP 10 puzzle, we have extended Puzzle 554 by two days.
This had been also been mentioned in the "Puzzle Schedule" Forum post: http://fold.it/portal/node/991972
This will be the final deadline for 554.
whilst it was stated that the puzzle may be extended it was also noted in global that it probably wouldn't be extended and there are 4 other puzzles running at the moment. Suddenly extending a large puzzle by two days, an hour before it closes, with no warning, disadvantages players who have gone into end game mode at the usual time for a large puzzle. May I request that this be avoided in future please.
we apologize for the late timing on this and will generally try to avoid extending puzzles in general (but if we have to, we will make sure to do it at least 1 day before a puzzle closes).
