Hey everyone!

We've just released an update to the Developer Preview with the following new features and bug fixes -

General -

  • Secondary Structures should now not be copied while threading (this is the previous behavior)
  • You may now double click languages to select them. The language selection feature now displays a popup window informing you it will restart Foldit.

Bug Fixes -

  • The "Disable Network Timeouts" option on the login page will now remember its value

So this is now fixed so that it is the same as before the cutpoints broke it? That is with the SS in the correct place for the template being threaded?

—"The secondary structure is based on the Template's secondary structure that you are threading from.
This is how is used to be until cutpoints introduced a bug that broke this (which is what you still see in the update group: "main")

I just seemed to us that if the template is a beta barrel, you'd want your model to end up with sheets in the correct places once you thread."—

I thought when the SS dissappeared that you just hadn't had time to apply them to the CASP target templates - it is also a bit tricky to find a good example puzzle to compare this between dev and main.

The devprev secondary structure on alignment behavior should now be identical to main. Effectively, this latest update reverted the feature that was in previously in devprev. We did this based on player feedback. We may consider making it an option at a future time.
