Hey everyone, we're preparing to release an update with the following list of features and fixes. Included are two new features that will be covered in this blog post: Auto Wiggle Power and Idealize Secondary Structure.
- General
-
Added Indonesian translation.
- Intro puzzles
-
Instructions for 'Cut and Paste' made clearer.
- Behavior
-
Auto Wiggle Power added. Auto Wiggle Power behaves like Low Power Wiggle unless there are unidealities, in which case it adds only the necessary extra computations to deal with these. Auto is the new default for Wiggle Power.
- Tools
- New tool added - Idealize SS - This tool directly sets backbone geometry to the perfect settings for whatever the secondary structure is currently marked as (works for strands/helices, does nothing for loops).
- Rebuild should be ~20% faster.
- Tweak should be more reliable.
- Mutate should stop much faster.
-
Pull should be more responsive.
- Bug Fixes
- Disable tooltip should no longer be reset by the mutate menu.
- Ideality issues should show up again when show backbone issues is enabled.

Looking forward to this :)
Great stuff coming out of the lab today. :) Can't wait to test.
Can we have a full explanation of the new wiggle powers now? (rather than in 3 or 4 weeks time)
for example…..it would appear that we now no longer have control over exactly what this new wiggle power does…..so why have medium power? silly question maybe…but an answer will surely help
imo - It is not as 'loose' really hard to explain but it is just not responsive, is crashy and slower and sticky. The last version was great.
Ok the new ISS tool is useful but too high a price to pay.
Quick poll of veteran chat
Overheating increasing, several players report that there is an increase. I am noticing extra load using CoreTemp on 64bit Win 8. Note these reports are coming from high and low spec end points.

Rebuild should be ~20% faster.
Some improvement but more crashes so far
-
Tweak should be more reliable. No comments on that
-
Mutate should stop much faster.
Mixed reports, some showing improvement. 'on a fast laptop one full mutate run of GAB BIS was 4.30 now 3 minutes
-
Pull should be more responsive. Really slow on trimer, (may be constraints on that one) and other puzzles, no reaction to pull then a big jerk even on low CI.
Comments and experiences will differ depending on the game stage, for example most puzzles are now in mid to end game and it is harder to test.
Hopefully others will add more specific comments
thanks
