We wanted to give you a heads up regarding our release to the developer preview later this week, as it does affect scoring on puzzles.
This coming update is designed to provide better consistency in regards to Ideality. There is a mismatch between the "ideal" values from the Idealize tool and the "ideal" values of the score function. This update should bring the values of the score function closer to the 'correct' ideal values.
Because this is a scoring change, there will be slight differences between this client and the previous version. From the solutions that we have tried, most gained about a point and a half as a result of the update.
Other smaller fixes may be included in the developer preview update, and we encourage you to read the full post when it is available for more details.
We strongly encourage you to test out the developer preview and let us know your thoughts as well as any issues that may result.
