Happy birthday, Foldit! Remember this bit of news? Well, it's been eight years (as of yesterday) and we're celebrating all day on Twitter with some #Foldit8 facts, new infographics to share, and of course reminding everyone what a great game Foldit continues to be as we grow and improve through the years.
Thank you, community, for making Foldit a successful place to learn and gather. We couldn't do all this without you.

Wow! Happy 8th Birthday to Foldit! I'm surprised to have been playing Foldit for over half of its lifetime. I've seen many changes in this time and look forward to future developments. Keep up the good work!
As far as I can see on the site, the oldest still active team is
Void Crushers starting on puzzle 50 expired on 05/12/2008, and the oldest still active player would be jobo0502 starting on 05/22/08 on a CASP8 puzzle.
