Today's Downtime and Poll for Possible Chat Sessions Times

It looks like we survived the update of our database, file server and web clients today.  the new setup should allow us to scale up to the additional protein design challenges, and allow us to expand the game so that you can design your own tools and protocols for refining proteins (more on that in the upcoming blog post).

It has been suggested several times that we're falling short on "customer support" aspect of this project.  We have to agree with you on this.  It's simply a tradeoff between all the things we have to do to move this project towards eventual scientific discoveries and all the things that our players would like us to do.

To demonstrate that we listen to your suggestions, we'll setup specific times where developers will be available for the in-game chat.  We'll log these chats and have a special place for them on the web site.

So my question is what might be the best time to hold such a chat session?  Make yourself heard below and we'll try to schedule something as long as it is within the reasonable hours in PST time zone.

Since no one else has posted I guess I will suggest some times. I don't have anything in particular that I wish to discuss, but the best times for me are between 22:00 and 2:00 GMT. I would also suggest having a time somewhere around twelve hours later for players in other time zones. I will leave it to them however to suggest the best time. There are generally around 32 users online while I am online, in case you wanted to know.

Thank you for making this effort,
ZZZ

I think for Europeans the latest reasonable time to start the chat session would be at 22:00 GMT (in summer at 21:00).

With such a diverse group of participants, no matter what you pick, it will be wrong for some of them.

You should have access to data of server load throughout the week.. pick the highest spike on the graph. that would be a good time.

I liked ZZZ's comment of having multiple times, say, maybe 3, to give folks a chance from other parts of the world to be in their "sweet spot" of time for them.
I also liked Steve's idea of using the "who is online" statistics, to help determine those time periods where the most people are on.
So I cast a second vote for those 2 ideas.

take the highest number, but at least one for Amerika and one for Europe.
Than try to find a "asien" peak (meaning not necessary asien origin but time oriented, as I don't think there are such many asiens here ;)) - that should everyone give at least 1 possible time.
