I'm finding when I open up the TNT puzzle and click the full screen button everything - but everything - jams. Can't even force quit.
Bug?
@armadillo314:
Which hardware do you use?
I've got an old PC, and this puzzle is slow as hell here.
But this is normal for my machine.
Hot key operation ( Ctrl + Z ) following 3 chain insertion, during Design Mode > mutate, causes app to crash
OS: Vista 32-bit
Hot key operation ( Ctrl + Z ) on Level 4-4: Rebuild Repairs, following undesirable move, causes app to crash
OS: Vista 32-bit
PS - Post #3 bug was discovered on Level 5-4: Insertion and Deletion,
Thanks
Run FoldIt in Windows XP compatability mode. You may also try setting the processor affinity to a single processor.
On the PCs with Win7 64 bit, I don't need to do that, but I run them in admin mode.
How much RAM do you use?
Right now I have only 2 gigs because of a bad slot on my motherboard. I just remembered that he only time I thought there was a problem was when I first ran your quickmutate on the first TNT puzzle. Of course it didn't fix the problem.
I have used comparability mode a few times lately. It seems Win 7 doesn't always run 32 bit code reliably on a x64 platform, especially pre-Vistaware.
Foldit crashes every 0-5 minutes at different stages (start up, during mouse clicks, keyboard hits for "shake it up", everywhere).
I've tried uninstalling and installing again, but doesn't help.
I'm running Windows XP professional with SP2.
Any solutions? I hate to give up without actually playing it.
Have you try to use less memory with options in "undo" / "graph properties" ?
