Contest: Submit My Sequence

Hello,

My apologies as I know this has been submitted, however, the responses to the "answers" follow my conclusion that the "answers" do not actually provide a complete set of steps for sumitting one's sequence into FoldIt. Create a contest, "unload" a recipe (the one I found has a residue limit just under my sequence's total), then… no instructions for actually getting the sequence bound to the contest.

Can anyone help?

Thank you,
Scott

Thank you for your response… and, yes, I would like a PDB file. I do have a license for Rosetta and a server set up (though not yet with FoldIT)… however, will there be community involvement?

Thanks again!
Scott

It is solely a protein manipulation tool (albeit a really nice one!).

A contest will let others play a puzzle that you create, but you will not be able to analyze any player results (since that is only done on our end, here at the University of Washington).

If you would like Foldit to set up a Science Puzzle for you, the most important thing you'll need to do is to wait until CASP10 is over (as we are currently overloaded with CASP refinement targets: http://predictioncenter.org/casp10/targetlist.cgi?view=refinement)

Once CASP10 ends, please feel free to PM me (or any other members of the Foldit Team) so we can tell you the necessary steps for having your puzzle posted on Foldit.

The most important rule is the agreement to keep Foldit players updated on the results of their hard work (even if they are negative results).

Until then, I would play around with the Standalone so you can get a better idea of what you want your puzzle to look like.
