Windows 8 supported?

It's not working for me, every time I log in and it starts loading, the application crashes. "not responding"

My PC is running on Win 8.1 and I cannot start the game as well. Getting the same error message as mentioned earlier and still could not get it to work after several re-installs.

You might get the "not responding" window for a little while, but after a few minutes it should start up!

It may help to just leave it alone while it's booting up. Don't click on anything, and possibly don't run anything else. I know that sometimes I get impatient, and when I click on a loading program window (not even necessarily Foldit) it gives me the error, but if I let it wait then its loads properly. Are you doing this or does it prompt you by itself?

A windows 8 user was stuck trying to do the tutorials in "selection mode" after reinstalling and changing the options over and over, we could find nothing special about this user except that they were using windows 8.
