You could reboot your computer and then restart Foldit.
Sometimes that fixes things.

This week has had several unusual interruptions
(https://fold.it/portal/node/2001114
and https://fold.it/portal/node/2001122),
so trying again every few hours may be the cure.

Are there special messages Foldit gives when you try to connect?
