David Baker will be giving a lecture on "The Coming of Age of Denovo Protein Design" at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology at 4:00pm (BST) on Tuesday 27th of April. "Owing to ongoing travel restrictions and social distancing measures, this year the talk will be hosted on Zoom. Attendance is free and is open to any who are interested."

It would seem that the venue for the talk is (virtually?) in the UK, which is presently one hour ahead of their usual on "Summer" time, what North Americans usually term "Daylight Savings".
Can someone please translate the talk time into Seattle Baker Lab's Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)? My head hurts.
I like timeanddate.com, which has a nice obsessive-compulsive approach.
Looks like 16:00 BST is 15:00 UTC/GMT, or 08:00 PDT in Seattle.
Here's the meeting time in a dozen cities:
2021 Max Perutz Lecture
The lecture occurs on 27 April most of these time zones. Baker fans in Tokyo can join just before midnight on the 27th, but the lecture will occur on the 28th.
Here a longer list of cities, thanks to the "Event Time Announcer" feature at timeanddate.com:
2021 Max Perutz Lecture
On Baker Island, the lecture will occur at 03:00 AoE time on 27 April.
AoE is the "Anywhere on Earth" time zone. AoE is beloved by procrastinators, since covers the last places on earth where a given calendar date exists. It's also known as UTC-12:00, or International Date Line - West (IDLW) time.
Baker Island is uninhabited.
It was fun to see the protein folding view from 10,000 feet. I know the MRC lab will have a link to the recorded lecture. Is it possible to provide a link to active Foldit players who might have missed it? Or us geeks who want to see it again, plus all the great questions that had been posted in the chat / Q&A sections?
Well done
David says thanks and will send us the link when posted
Thank you for posting this, why is this not announced on the blog page ?
We didn't post it because it wasn't directly Foldit related (just one slide about the 2019 Nature paper), but we can certainly feature it in a news post when we don't have as much material up there⦠such as a Lab Report, MERS-CoV binders blogpost or 13th anniversary :-)
