When Foldit starts up, the background is blank white. Why not load up a random pdb and display it in the background behind the dialog boxes to provide a bit more visual interest and demonstrate to newcomers what a protein might look like?
This only needs to happen in the beginning, after the initial splash screen (or even after you log in). It could display a recent science puzzle, for example. Once you load up a puzzle, the background protein would disappear.
