I suggest that a tool that might significantly improve the overall results of the tool is to have the current functions (shake, wiggle, etc.) and operate them in a sphere of user-defined size.
This may be a challenge to program, but I can see this being done with a query or group of queries based on the location data of the segments and the radius/diameter of the sphere being defined.
The reason I suggest this is I have encountered issues with problem segments that I am continually trying to resolve a segment but when I use the tools in the past I tended to be focused on linear methods.
I created a cookbook recipe that effectively allows one to create spheres manually. It is a Freeze all segments, then an Unfreeze with a user selected segment(s) then a Local Wiggle Sequence with the same user selected segment(s) with it iterating until stopped. I can manually select segments within a specific area. Automating the process should require little more than making some queries of the segment locations based on the user-defined sphere then either freezing all the segments then unfreezing the segments found in the query or simply selecting the segments in the query and executing the function specified.
, so the actual functionality would not be significantly different from what is currently available, but I suspect the benefit of this functionality would be the understanding that one may need to think in 3 dimensions.
Thank you,
