I usually play FoldIt on a tablet with a 1024x768 screen. It runs fine (better than my old PC), except that in some cases, I can't close certain submenu items once I open them.
Example: in the Electron Density puzzle, once I open the Electron Density submenu, I can't close it because the "X" is underneath the Rank/Score box at the top. I can open other menus (Actions, Undo, etc), but the submenu stays open until I exit and reopen FoldIt. I have tried but not been able to resize my screen to reach the closing X.
Another place this happens is the Undo > Graph Settings submenu. It's tall enough that the closing X hides under the Rank/Score box.
This also affects the View Menu (menu items above "Show Bonds (loop)" are hidden under the Rank/Score window, and I can only see the bottom line of the box above View Protein), but I can use hotkeys to change those.
I have the same problem, more often with the extend view menu: I can not uncheck the above view options (hidden by the score window).
May be suggest to be able to move the view window in order to fix this?
In selection interface, you are able to drag around all submenu's.
(it makes everything floaty except for puzzle info at top, chat bottom-right, competition list top-right, and action buttons bottom-left.)
In general, I think the UI routines should be changed so that "click on window" brings window to top, instead of "Click on title" because the title may be completely covered. Hopefullly you can change the click to focus routine easily, and fix a lot of problems.
I have a similar problem on a netbook, especially with the electron density submenu. And I can't get to any part of the header of the box to move it so I can close it…
I like the click on window to the top!
I am now using a basic display adaptor and having the same types of problems. Being able to click on the windows or tab thru them to get focus will be a help, imagine I will not be able to manipulate electron puzzles unless I remote in from a different computer.
In selection with a script running you cannot open the view or behaviour menus.
Also - on this topic - could we please have hot key combos or letters to open behaviour and ED panels. Opening ED in selection means opening main then opening ED panel, not enough real estate to leave either of them open.

oops - sorry just realised that the keys are there for behsviour [b] and cookbook [c] but are not on the labels and are not listed in the Help page [h] main help. I knew about the C for cookbook.
One for ED would be great please.
And please change the TAB for adding a note to the density to something else. I use TAB to see segmentscores and I had a crash with ED cloud off, using TAB inside a recipe and it tried to add a note and crashed.
I like the idea of "click on window" brings window to top, instead of "Click on title".
(Simply because the screen of my laptop is partly broken on top, so that I need blind attempts to move the window to other visible place …)
