Make it possible to save the current protein structure as PDB-file (and ask where to save it), so we can compare different structures in external programs like PyMOL, TMscore and others for ourselves.
It's comprehensible that you don't want us to be able to import PDB-files into Foldit since this could allow cheating, but I don't see how the export of PDBs could harm.
It will help to analyze results when native are published.
the news that the native is published and some analyzis by Foldit team will also be useful.
some legal problem should be involved. You need to download standalone version for the purpose.
I dont see how standalone version of Foldit is useful to answer this question.
We want to compare our solution to the native or compare one solution to another.
It is not clear that an average foldit player, somebody who is not a student, not a laboratory, not an organisation have the right or not to unload standalone version.
What does this do for the majority of the Foldit players?
Are you asking the developers to add a feature that perhaps only a handful of people would ever use, and even then it doesn't help the game play at all.
I think pictures Madde have posted on casp9 and now or casp10 (and now Susume) are really interesting, I just want to do them myself with my solution as a feedback.
I think we will be better folders with more feedbacks on our work.
Something like this http://foldit.wikia.com/wiki/Puzzle_410 but more precise.
Spmm seems to have make a very good job, I liked that he can verify or delegate the task to Madde, susume or other players who can learn to make picture with jmol.
This is also mentioned in the FAQ (http://fold.it/portal/info/faq). We don't currently have any plans to add these kinds of features to the game.
