Foldit appears to be stricken with the Flashplayer install virus.
I only was running fold-it and I started getting pop-ups for the virus

Not necessary, it is a fake adobe flashplayer update screen.
It is not from Adobe and keeps poping up.

Try to download the antivirus that is supportable in your system. I recommend you to download and install the Avast or AVG antivirus both these are compatible and has a lot of features.
