Sometimes there is really great advice or suggestions in the Chat windows.
Sometimes it is nice to copy output from a script window for later study.

I have heard that external IRC programs can record the contents of the different Chat windows.
What do folks use to record the Science and Developer Chats at http://fold.it/portal/chats ?

On a PC, you can expand the desired Chat window as far as it can go,
then use the Print Screen button, then open the program Paint,
then paste the copied image, and then save the image as bmp jpg png etc.
