If you know which residues are in the network,
you can use recipes like Loop rebuild 9.0a
(https://fold.it/portal/recipe/102557)
to protect those residues from being mutated.
You can also put bands on key residues to
protect their networks. bandsome can do this
(https://fold.it/portal/recipe/43861).

Yes, there are workarounds, but it seemed like any band I put on when I had a network made it go away. Pretty frustrating.

One of the issues is that when a band is in place, one can't tell if the bond is still active, or if it has gone away. It needs to be able to "glow through" the band.
