Developing XR version

I am a professional XR(VR/AR) developer as well as an interaction designer. I would like to make a VR prototype of Foldit, which I think has a great potential. I plan to do this as my side project. Just want to ask if you already have similar plan? Or how is it possible to contribute? Any information are appreciated. Thanks.
