The "Block author" button is right next to the "Delete message" button in private messaging. If a user inadvertently clicks the "block author" button it could be a long time before the mistake is noticed, and could also lead to misunderstandings. Having the "block author" button available for every message is unnecessary - the button should not be quite so accessible.
