Here's the problem with trusting anything in general options. My observations only of course. When I logged in this morning the camera settings I had corrected yesterday were gone. It had reverted to whatever you all chose. So I fixed it. Then due to the other hotkey problem, I had to log out and then log back in. Now it's reverted again and I had to correct it again. I don't know about all the other folders but I just don't have the time for what seems to me is extraneous activity. It's hard enough to find quiet time to sit and fold patiently, I do understand that we are in transition and things are very unstable. I'm just saying this because I detect a trend to have folders "fix it themselves" I am not a coder and if there is too much of this customize it for yourself, I will have to say: OK this is now too much "game play" and it's time for me to find something else to do. I would much prefer if the person in charge just made a decision and went with it no matter how ill advised or "wrong" their choice would be. I can adjust. I have survived by adjusting for almost 9 years now. And those who prefer to "personalize" their experience can still do it to their hearts delight.
I guess what I'm saying is that if foldit provides some core measure or stability, I can participate. If it's a do it yourself project, I can't continue. (I will some day when I find the time, try to make my own hotkeys and I will let you know if they persist. Don't have much faith in it)
