Yes, happening to me as well on WinXP SP3. This was before yesterday's update.
Same problem probably. Message received from Vista states "foldit.exe is trying to close in an unusual manner - contact application's technical support.

Problem disappeared in about 24 hours - seems O.K. now.

It was a problem with puzzle 163 only.
163 has expired so the problem disappeared.
