Update us About Scripting!

I know there has been much talk about lua scripting. I watched the video in which scripting is previewed with great excitement, but I have not heard anything since then.

What is the current status of lua scripting? I know it must be implemented to some extent because of the video. Can we get access to it in the dev preview? It wouldn't matter to me if it is still buggy or rough – I'd just like to take a look and play around with it a bit, as I'm sure a lot of others would as well.

Okay, I had a look at it on Wikipedia. Looks similar as PASCAL or C to me, nice.
Isn´t it ironic that we would use a platform for "bio-engineering", which was created by a Pontifical Catholic University? This makes grin.

I think the first pass at scripting is in the cookbook and ready for beta. There are a few other features I'd like to get ready before the next beta, which should be within a week or so.

I've made another short preview video, which is viewable here:

Question and Suggestion - Alpha release
1)Alpha release – If you think the scripting in cookbook is ready for beta, could you release it as an alpha before the other features are ready.
2)Could you tell us what the other features are.

I've put the scripting release in beta (developer preview). The other features are in the release notes.
