Since the alignment version, including the bugfixes, the client has become more and more unstable. While running scripts (existing tried-and-tested ones) the client now crashes within 5 minutes. This really needs to be resolved for this program to remain successful. I cannot babysit a system 24/7.
Before it would cause a windows 'this program has terminated in an unusual way' message, now it just terminates and vanishes without any message.

A similar thing is happening to me. Tonight, I tried running Pletsch's "Overnight Script", which has always been reliable; but within a millisecond of invoking it, FoldIt shut down. Also, when I ran a rebuilding script Bletchley Park wrote for Contenders, it sat there playing the rebuild music, but did absolutely nothing. Neither of these behaved this way before the update that I loaded into my computer tonight.

before the little update this morning, running scripts made foldit crash after about five minutes.
Now it crashes right away when I try to run a script.
I've had a play around this morning, and it seems that anything rebuilding less than 3 segments causes crashes, even when done manually.
rebuilds with 3 or less segments no longer show the purple ring and appear mote bland in performance than rebuilds with 4 or more segments. 4+ segments have the purple rings. A rebuild with 2 or less segments will immediately crash the client. I also have the subjective impression that manual rebuilds are more daring than LUA rebuilds.
I have crashes too, but not so quick (5 min). It crashes during script execution after 2 or 3 hours.
When Foldit crashes on my system (W2K) it always displays a message like (in translation from russian):
foldit: foldit.exe - Application error
Exception unknown program exception (0xe06d7363) in application at address 0x7945bc3f
From time to time Foldit crashes when i press Crtl-O directly after puzzle is loaded.
Also after align update Foldit begins to freeze with no message.
In this case log-file contains this strings at his end:
UNHANDLED EXCEPTION
SRVR_THRD sending…
Much the same as everyone else.

Okay, I will look into these.
Since the last new update, I'm getting crashed in a different way - usually mid-wiggle, it's freezing then shutting down with a game_library.dll error flag. This is in addition to the hung_app freeze which usually happens if I edit a script, not a recipe, and the hccutils.dll error on shutdown, which has happened on closing Foldit, ever since the exploration graph became zoomable.

I'm having the same problem as well. Some recipes now cause foldit to crash immediately after starting them.
