I haven't tested this in offline mode, but it seems that, when more then one Rubber Band exists on the screen, clicking the "Disable Bands" menu button causes the program to crash. I've tested a couple of the intro puzzles and, so far, it's affected all the ones I've tested.
I've had also a CTD (Crash to Desktop) when trying to remove a rubber-band (intro/third level in hydro)
Here's my report from the Event-Viewer of my Win XP SP3 (OS):

I have tested this, even in offline mode.
I used a single band, just 1 band, and Disable Bands will crash the program.
This also happens on Online Mode and Offline Mode.
I attached some selected events from Events Viewer.
I'm new, I don't know another way of attaching files that are not text files.
I packaged the event files into a zip file and added the .txt extension at the end.
Rename folditCrashEventFileszip.txt to folditCrashEventFiles.zip
Workaround: do not use keyboard shortcuts in intros, use proper menu buttons.
I used menu buttons to do my tests. Not the keyboard shortcuts.
Never happen on my XP sp3 and Win7 when using buttons. Sometimes crashes when using keyboard shortcuts.
Well, I only tested it in two different intro puzzles. So, it's possible that just those two are affected (for some reason). I haven't tested it in a full puzzle yet and not with keyboard shortcuts. I'm also running XP sp3 (I probably should have mentioned that in the first place <.<). It's also possible that it's a problem local to my system. I'll look around and see if I can't find a crash log or something.
So far, I haven't checked to see if disabling individual bands causes any problems or if the global disable extends into the normal puzzles, since, honestly, I don't use the function very often.
Stop wiggle or any action before remove bands.
Bumping, because it should be fixed.
Crashing client on intro puzzles can be a bit disappointing for new player.
Do that again - delete band during wiggle in 1st banding intro kill client instantly.
