Stop Error when Multitasking

I get this error when I am running more than just the Fold-it window, or more precisely, I have not attempted to get the error while running just the Fold-it window and the Windows Explorer shell. I switch back from Firefox, etc. to the Fold-it window, and the application seems responsive, even so far as to tell me who is(was?) in the channel. I am not sure as to whether the application is still receiving data from the channel or if it is even still logged into the IRC channel. On attempting to send messages (usually on sending the second message), the application halts and this error message is given.

I am running the most recent Fold-it client (I allow it to auto-update whenever possible) on 64-bit Win7 Professional, with a Pentium Dual-Core E5700 (3GHz, 3GHz) and 4G RAM.

Upon further inspection (It happens all too often), all it takes is a single message, and a wait time of 10-20 seconds. Same problem signature. Doesn't seem to be receiving data from the channel; it just appears everyone has gone quiet.
