I had some crashes on this puzzle when shuting the cutpoints (win7 main).
Some strange shape can appear after closing the cutpoints. Some diseappear easily with local wiggle, some others are harder to solve.

My way is (in selection interface) wiggle that reds+1 then rebuild.

Closing cut points is pain sometimes, looks like best way is to wiggle ends instead of pulling them by hand.
