spontaneous cutpoints in 626

I've had cutpoints appear without using the cut tool while pulling with a band. Is this something new or a bug of sorts?

It was in devprev

I know this cuts too: press w, add a short band by clicking right, press r …but nothing is moving and an unexspected cut, rebuilt or tweak appears. The solution: my keyboard had better times and doesn't work always good (especially W, A, S, D; playing kids)
