When attaching a band to a segment, a small red line appears for a fraction of a second running diagonally across the screen in a random position.
To replicate :
Place cursor over a segment
Hold down shift
Left drag the band into existence
It does not happen every time, but shouldn't take more than a few attempts to reproduce
