I do not have an audio device on this computer and it is a bit annoying to have to click 'ok' through the audio device error message when starting a client.
There is no actual requirement to have an audio device to play foldit and this may also be offputting for any prospective hearing impaired players who may not realise that an audio card is not required.
I do realise that it is quite unusual these days to not have a sound card but they are in no way essential.
