For some reason when I'm trying to complete the electron density tutorial I get the following error:
skirmitch@aranza ~/Games/PC/Foldit $ ./Foldit
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what(): std::bad_alloc
中止
This probably means that calloc is being used with more memory than I have available but I cont know whats going on or how to fix it (it doesnt seem like I can just skip that specific tutorial part and continue with the rest). Any Ideas, if u need more specs of my pc just ask?
OS: Gentoo 64
There is a log file that saves any errors. Not sure on Linux but perhaps log.txt in the foldit directory. You can then attach the file along with feedback. The file is overwritten when foldit is run so you can't restart foldit until you send the file.
You will also want to give the puzzle number along with a description of what recipe you were running or what you were doing when the crash occurred.
Ok, the steps to reproduce the error in my computer are very easy:
open fold it
connect to server
select intro puzzles
select the electron density one
click "tell me more" all the times till u get to the "Thats all" message
Open the electron density dialog
Click once again in all the "tell me more" till it goes away
Move the threshold to the last third to the right
Select wire frame
close the electron density dialog
click "Wiggle all"
software crashes with the error I posted above and the log file is attached in this message
Thanks! We're looking into this
