Made disulfide bond on 1959 and got no bonus.

I made a disulfide bond between segments 46 (on my protein) and 84 (on target protein A) on puzzle 1959. I was given no bonus points for making a bond at the interface of the two chains.

Here's proof:

Please add 250 points to my soloist score when calculating global points for this puzzle.

Odd. I made a disulfide bond between segment 9 (on my protein), and 161 (on target protein B), and I was awarded the 250 point bonus.

Ah I see. This is correct. The Disulfide Objective in Puzzle 1959 should only reward a disulfide bond that connects the two chains.

In your first solution, you created a good disulfide bond between two CYS residues, but both CYS residues were on the same chain. Since the disulfide did not connect the chains, it did not receive a bonus. In your second solution, one CYS is on chain A and the other CYS is on chain B. Since the disulfide connects the chains, it receives the bonus.

Sorry for the confusion! In the future, we'll try to be more clear about this in the puzzle description. Note that the above explanation applies only to Puzzle 1959. That is not always how the Disulfide Objective works; in many puzzles, it will indeed award a bonus for an intra-chain bond that connects two CYS residues on the same chain.
