Cannot create bands in Selection UI

In the standard UI bands can be created as normal.

When using the selection UI… bands can be created as normal, as long as you do not use "show HBond-networks". If the HBonds are shown, I cannot create bands. This stays the same, even after disabling "Show HBond networks".

Switching UI does not help… when back in selection interface, the behavior is again there.

Is this a bug?
