view presets not saved

I have established my own preset view. Then later I decide to add an item or delete an item. I check it and then click on preset options and hit SAVE. Instead of keeping my custom view it deletes it from the menu.

Thank you very much for letting us know. Just to verify the steps to reproduce this:
1) Create a Custom Preset.
2) Edit the Preset with new view options.
3) Preset the SAVE button.
4) Confirm save with the Save Preset dialog box.
5) Hit the SAVE button.

After this, your custom preset is now deleted?

Hi Sciren, Not sure I follow your procedure. My bad, I will try to make it clearer.

I must have the wrong procedure because the changes I make disappear. I tried to hit the EDIT button on the Preset Options menu before I call up a custom view to change it and after following the routine below it is still not edited. If I don't hit the EDIT button first the old custom view remains unedited.

Below is the routine I am using. whether hitting the EDIT button first or not.

This is the routine I am using now

1. Click on a previously made custom view called MAIN.
   1a.(Click on the EDIT button of the Select View Preset menu. ) I prefer to skip this.
2. The MAIN view options pops up.
3. I check the see sidechains box.
4. I now want this to be a permanent change to MAIN so I hit the SAVE button in the bottom right of the View Options
   menu.
5. A box appears called SAVE PRESET. I click the SAVE option.
6. Another boxed appears saying Preset Saved with a white checkmark on a little green box. I click the checkmark.
7. I now check the Select View Preset panel and the old custom MAIN does not have a checkmark on "see sidechains".
   The change did not take.

Question: Am I supposed to change the name when the Save Preset box comes up? This is not a SAVE AS but a SAVE.

Also, I have since verified that if we make a change to our own custom preset and SAVE, the next time I log on my original custom preset has disappeared as stated in my first comment here.

I see. Thank you for the additional information. I just wanted to verify whether the preset was being deleted from the list or if the new options were not saving correctly. This gives me enough information to be able to track it down. Thank you very much!
