Before the update of the website it was possible to start recipes with assigned hotkey. How can this be done now? I don't see installed recipes in the hotkey listing now. I got used to this functionality and therefore I really need it.
Good luck with fixing all those bugs that seem to have come in. It seems like many things are not working properly which ran smoothly before (timeout at start, rankings, shares, …) and a lot of things seem to have changed (even though only minutely) in the Gui (font or fontsize?) which is really frustrating for me since I use Autohotkey for some automation tasks and now I will have to adapt many coordinates yet again. I guess I will just make a pause and wait until this is straightened out.
It should be possible to get this working again. Right now our priority is in ironing out the spotty server behavior, but hopefully we'll be able to update the app soon to restore this feature.
Thanks bkoep for keeping this topic in view. I am looking forward to this update :)
I fully agree that there are more important topics at the moment. For me the worst thing is the constant hanging/lagging of the client(s). Seems like about every 2 minutes or so the client tries to load something from the server (AF-results, score-info,…) and then the client just completely stalls for about 30 secs and you can just wait. This makes gameplay very unfunny. I have seen similar behavior before the update when the client received new AF-data. But this was acceptable. Now it stalls far more often and frequently.
And what happend to the setting "disable network timeouts" in the login-mask? It's gone now. I always had this on and did not have problems. Was this removed deliberately?
The second worst thing is that on puzzle 2196 it is not possible to load AF-predictions. The client always crashes immediately. Works fine on 2198 though so this might have to do with filters. Haven't tried yet to disable filters before loading. Maybe this helps?
Apart from this I am starting to like the new website. It has a clear design, is simple to navigate and getting used to. Also the "neural net mutate" function is quite nice and helpful. Would like to try this on 2196 or similar but loading of AF prediction needs to work first.
Today's devprev update restores the ability to assign Recipe hotkeys. If all goes well, this update will release to main in a day or two.
The update also includes a bugfix for a crash when loading AlphaFold predictions. Hopefully this resolves the AlphaFold-related crashes you were seeing before!

Yes this feature became obsolete with the website update, since the Foldit app now handles server communications much differently. It may be possible to re-implement something similar, but I'm not sure it makes sense with the new setup (I will have to discuss with other devs).
