I recently updated to Windows 11, and I'm not seeing related problems. Check your c:\Foldit directory (or wherever your Foldit is installed) for a file called log.txt. You can drag log.txt to a new reply in this thread. Sometimes the messages in log.txt can help diagnose a problem.
Other than that, the usual suggestion is to try installing Foldit again. So if you already have c:\Foldit, you can install the new one to c:\Foldit1. Then try the new Foldit by double-clicking Foldit.exe in the new location.
Well, having posted that, on Win11, 'm seeing one Foldit on puzzle 2222 that's getting "not responding" a lot. Any clicks in the Foldit window tend to give the spinning disk.
Just once in a while, something responds. So I was able to stop a recipe and get the Open/Share Solutions window open. But even something like trying to maximize the window results in "not responding" for a long while.
In the log.txt , I'm seeing lots of lines that show the Foldit client getting puzzle info from the Foldit server: Here's one block of these lines:

Unfortunately, there are no timestamps in log.txt, so it's not possible to determine how often this is happening, but it seems like a lot. All the new messages seem to be similar.
I think maybe the Foldit client is bogged down processing all this info from the server.
I'll give this an hour or so to see if the update loop ever ends.
After about an hour and fifteen minutes, the log file had grown by 593 lines, to 196,151 lines total.
The client remains kind of stuck, with only very slow response to keyboard or mouse.
There were no get_compound_library calls since the last report, only these two:

These are followed by a lot of lines where it looks like Foldit is verifying the checksums of the puzzle files.
In particular, these lines are repeated over and over:

Perhaps multiple puzzles use the same setup information.

Having the Objectives panel open seems to have been the cause of the slowdown. Once I got it closed, the client resumed operation at normal speed.
@jeff101 reported something similar in vet chat:
[14:16.03] <@jeff101> When I open the Objectives to view these bonuses, my clients become extremely slow (unless I quit and restart them). If I keep the Objectives hidden, my clients go at a reasonable speed.
