Next Foldit Standalone update

Hi everyone!

I'd like to know if there are any plans to update Foldit Standalone in the near future. I'd really like to use new functionalities, such as the Neural Net Mutate, on the proteins I'm working with (right now I'm taking the long route and tweaking the backbone in my version of Foldit and running in on the ProteinMPNN HuggingFace app).

Yes! This was recently requested by others as well. We are working to get an updated build posted soon, hopefully within the next week.

I'll follow up again here when the Foldit Standalone update is posted.

Just a thought, would it make sense to create a Foldit standlone discussion board here on fold.it?

Standalone has a support site, but it's never had much traffic: https://folditstandalone.userecho.com/

I see the most recent complaint on that site is four years old, and has never been answered. It did receive two upvotes.

Actually, it looks like none of the topics on the userecho site have ever had a reply.

I recently had a PM from a Foldit user asking about setting up a reaction design puzzle in standalone. I have no idea how to do that, or how to find out.

Topics like small molecule or reaction design aren't covered in the examples, however.

The Foldit Standalone distribution has been updated as of today.

You will need to download the latest version and reinstall (the Standalone app does not update itself like the game does). Follow the email instructions you received from CoMotion License, and navigate to the Standalone downloads page to download the updated app.
