For example: Access a recipe called "Design Model". The top line is now 3 helices. But I could swear that before the conversion 3 helices were not the top line. Can I assume this sort of thing happens in translating from one format to another. I've seen this elsewhere. This one is a very clear example. This kind of thing is unnerving to a non-coder. But if it's just to be expected I can just ignore it and work with what remains.

I don't think the conversion changed anything to the published recipes. This recipe and many of my recipes are context sensitive (here depending on the length of the puzzle). It's possible that for another length, you get another top line. When adding new puzzle lengths, I didn't repeat unusual sructures like SSSSL. HHH should always be present in the list because it's very performing i Foldit.
For unpublished recipes only shared to self or group, look at their version date. If the author edit them (no clone), next time you refresh your cookbook, you get the latest update of the recipe.
