Does anyone know how to show a Mac Quicktime *.mov movie file within Foldit's e-mail system or in this Forum?
Do I have to convert it into a *.gif file to show it? If so, how do you convert a *.mov file into a *.gif file?
Thanks!

Below is a gif file from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lissajous_curve. On that page in Chrome, I right-clicked on the moving image and then clicked on Inspect. My browser showed me source code for it, so I copied that code and pasted it below.

I have also found mov to gif converters online, like the one at https://cloudconvert.com/mov-converter.
It would still be nice if I could include a gif with icons like play, pause, stop, fast forward, and reverse on it.
Does anyone know how to do this? My sense is that it is more complicated than just showing a gif file.
If additional software is needed, perhaps one of the Foldit admins could install this software on the
Foldit website so a simple html command is enough to activate it.
A google search for "html gif controls" gives many hits, like the one below:

which has a nice demo below:
