Going to science puzzles shows puzzles 2438, 2439, and 2449.
Turning on "Show expired puzzles", then clicking "refresh list" shows the exact same list.
The numbering implies there are 2437 puzzles missing.
My objective is to to look through the past puzzles to see if you have created any PrP class ("I.E. prion") related puzzles, in order for me to to learn about the PrP structures, in order to see if I can use them as a example to illustrate a point that I'm trying to make. (Basically to see if I personally would consider the multi-species prion network to be life (according to my own personal definition of life I'm creating))
Do you mean this one: https://fold.it/puzzles/2013824
Puzzle 2437: Y4R: Round 10
I don't think we've done a prion puzzle, and don't see one on the site. No results for "prion site:fold.it"
Hi stimpy81,
Does Puzzle 2439 (https://fold.it/puzzles/2013828) show the kind of structure you're looking for? If you want to be able to see this puzzle after it expires, you should open this puzzle before it expires. For each Foldit puzzle you open, Foldit saves seven or so special files onto your computer. You need these files later if you want to open an expired puzzle. I think you can copy these files from one computer to another.
beta_helix: I'm not referencing puzzle number 2437 specifically, I'm saying when I said "show expired puzzles" I was expecting it to show the expired puzzles. I.E. I'm still seeing just 3 unexpired puzzles instead of seeing 3 unexpired puzzles, and more then two thousand expired puzzles.
according to this site (fold.it) , puzzle number 29 was. The complete description of 29 is:
29: More Bio 200!
111 residues. The complete pig prion protein from the Bio 200 puzzle!
(note: i have no idea what "the bio 200 puzzle" is)
jeff101: I can't tell. I see the guy speculating that it might be a stack of prions, so i opened it and am backing it up just in case. Thanks
"Show expired puzzles" within the game client will only show the puzzles you have played on that machine. (Or rather, the puzzles which were downloaded when they were active, even if you didn't open them.) If you haven't played a while (e.g. if you took a week off) any puzzles which opened and then expired during your hiatus will not show up in your local client.
The full list of puzzles is available on the website, but there's currently no facility to download an expired puzzle to your client - you have to get the puzzle while it's active.
