devprev V36 multiple issues

On V36-20240607-3685b8e5d2-win_x64-devprev:

  • can't open puzzle 2466, gives "unable to connect to Foldit server" error, as noted by @BootsMcGraw
  • on puzzle 2467, Open/Share solutions always displays "there was an error getting shared solutions from the server"

Puzzle 2465 opens normally, and displays shared solutions as expected.

Clients on V35 aren't affected, and seem to be running normally.

I have three new Foldit devprev clients running Puzzle 2467 right now on my Mac.
In one's log.txt file, it says: buildid: V36-20240607-3525267342-macos_x64-devprev
So far these clients haven't crashed or frozen. They are all running the public version of
Ligand Docker v2.5c (https://fold.it/recipes/108725) from my cookbook on the website.

I was able to copy solutions to Group and Scientists on the server, and the server listed them.
The server also listed some solutions from my teammates, which I was able to download,
but I haven't tried to open any yet.

The big question is how long these clients will run before crashing or otherwise misbehaving.

Opening the cookbook took a few minutes on one instance (out of 3) in the new devprev, but it resolved and is working now. Maybe otherwise it would have crashed due to connectivity issues.

In the past few hours, there have been times when I couldn't see shared solutions on the server
and couldn't send new shares to the server.

I experience the same issue; "There was an error getting shared solutions from the server". And again, no cookbook content.
Pressing the refresh button in the cookbook populated the cookbook. Uploading a solution yields "unable to connect with foldit server". After a second try, apparently the upload works, but the "There was an error…" message in the uploading client appears. Pressing the refresh button in the upload screen yields an immediate return with the same error.

Starting a new client just also yielded the "unable to connect …" message and the client just sits there.

I also notice a LOT of OpenGL errors with "The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection to the display driver" with error code 2 and the client vanishes. Could this be related to a threading bookkeeping and timing issue ? (see microsoft link)
The log in that case shows only this:

 'C:\Foldit_x64\Foldit.exe'

As I have other activities this unfortunately halts my progress on the clients.

Thank you all for the feedback, we're trying to post a fix for this soon.

Thanks again for helping us try devprev.
