If the Small Molecule Properties panel (molecular weight, rotatable bonds, and so on) is open when switching to a non-ligand puzzle, Foldit may crash. The attached log file demonstrates a crash, which happened when all the small molecule properties were checked.
The crash is not quite 100%. In one case, with just two properties selected, I was able to switch from a small molecule puzzle to a revisiting puzzle and back again. The panel remained displayed with the same properties checked. I have not been able to replicate this condition. In all other cases, I get a crash, even when the Small Molecule Properties panel is closed before switching puzzles.
On Windows 11, when switching from a small molecule puzzle to a revisiting puzzle, the Small Molecule Properties panel remains visible with the previous values displayed. The action bar icons appear as empty squares. The crash takes a few seconds. On Windows 10, the panel does not remain visible, it appears the crash happens before the puzzle screen is displayed.
