Below are some suggestions for the "Menu -> Open/Share Solutions" menu (see the picture attached below):
(1) Right now the solutions are sorted by score.
It would be nice if you could also sort the solutions by date, author, title, or with whom they are shared.
(2) Often when I click one of the arrows or buttons, the menu shifts both sliders back to the top.
When I have a long list of solutions and am interested in ones near the bottom, this is not helpful.
Would it be possible to let the sliders stay still when an arrow or button is clicked?
(3) Under "Shared Solutions", could you have 5 checkboxes in 2 rows, as below?
Row 1: "Show my solutions" and "Show others' solutions", with both checked by default.
Row 2: "Show shared with self", "Show shared with group", and "Show shared with scientists",
with all 3 checked by default.
(4) Under "Local Solutions", could you have 3 checkboxes, as below?
"Show manual saves", "Show autosaves", and "Show quicksaves",
with just the left-most one checked by default.

Some other ideas are the following:
(5) Have a "Download All" button.
(6) Let players select more than one solution to Upload, Download, or Delete at the same time.
(7) If a player tries to Upload or Download a duplicate of a previously Uploaded or Downloaded solution, Foldit will check for this and prevent it.

Here is another idea:
(8) Under "Shared Solutions", make it possible to directly change solutions you have already shared from shared with self, group, or scientists to shared with self, group, or scientists. Right now, I have to download a share to make it a "Local Solution" and then upload it again to a different "shared with" type to accomplish this.
(9) Under "Shared Solutions", make it possible to directly copy a solution from one type of sharing (self, group, or scientists) to another without having to first transfer the solution to "Local Solutions". (9) is the copying analog to (8)'s moving. Having (9) implemented would help if there are solutions you've already shared with the group that you also want to share with scientists, for example.
(10) Give the score with 3 decimals instead of 0
(11) Let us see the "Open/Share Solutions" menu in a read-only mode when a Recipe is running. This way we can check if any new group shares are available without stopping the calculations we are working on.

(12) List each author's solutions with a different
text or background color.
(13) Find the highest-scoring solution listed in the menu
and list alpha-carbon rmsd values (or other similarity scores)
between it and every other solution listed in the menu. This
will help us easily see the diversity of solutions we are
creating, and this should help us make better decisions about
which solutions to try hardest to improve. It should also
help us pick more diverse solutions to Share with Scientists.
(14) Do like in (13) above, but let the player pick
the hub solution (the solution against which all the
other solutions listed in the menu are compared). In
(13), the hub solution is always the highest-scoring
one. In (14), the hub solution can be any of the
solutions listed in the "Open/Share Solutions" menu.
Implementing (14) would help if there will be another
round of Partition Function Puzzles. Then, a player
could save the starting structure, make it the hub
solution, and then have the "Open/Share Solutions"
menu list the rmsd values between the hub solution
and all the other solutions listed. Then, if two
solutions both have rmsd values of 5 from the starting
structure, the player could pick one of these two
solutions to be the new hub solution and then tell
from the resultant rmsd values how similar the two
solutions are to each other.
The hub solution could always be listed with an rmsd
value of 0, since this solution is identical to itself.
(15) Let each player share 10 solutions with scientists.
I often run multiple Foldit clients on multiple laptops,
and this lends itself to making multiple distinct
structures for each puzzle. On Puzzle 1662, for example,
I have 8 distinct solos and 3 distinct evos to choose
from. It would be nice to be able to share more than
just 5 with scientists.
