Beginner Overall DesignYou've seen this design puzzle before, but look more closely! The Frizzled protein occurs in a number of forms. Last time we gave you a form of Frizzled with a narrow pocket. This time we are giving you a form of Frizzled with a wider pocket. There are a couple of rules: You can mutate any residue on the helix but none on Frizzled and the small binding helix must stay in helical shape. We've also added a new filter that we call "Residue Interaction Energy". Natural proteins avoid putting Tryptophan, Phenylalanine, and Tyrosine on the surface. However, Foldit often gives a score bonus if you load up the surface of your design with Tryptophan. The Residue Interaction Energy filter helps to counteract that, helping you make better designs. Enjoy and thanks for all of your efforts!
