This is a symmetric hexamer design puzzle with 70 residues; there will be six symmetric chains to manage. This puzzle includes 3 filters: the Residue IE Score monitors that all PHY, TYR, and TRP residues are scoring well; the Core Exists filter checks that at least 30% of the residues are buried in the core of your design; and the Fragment Score filter scans for parts of your design that are unlikely to fold up naturally. The Baker Lab will run folding simulations on your solutions for this puzzle, and those that perform well will be synthesized in the lab.
BONUS: It's winter here in Seattle, but we still haven't seen any snow! Submit your best "protein snowflake" using the Upload for Scientists button and the Foldit team will post their favorite snowflakes on the blog! This puzzle will remain open for two weeks.
