This large protein (291 residues!) is based on a prenyltransferase protein from Streptomyces; however, we've inserted the sequence of Aβ into residues 267-291. We're asking Foldit players to redesign this protein so that it folds up normally with the integrated Aβ! Such a protein could serve as a starting point for the design of an Aβ binder.
Because this protein is so large, the backbone has been frozen; players may design all residues except 267-291 (Aβ sequence). Remember, you can use the Upload for Scientists button for up to 5 designs that you want us to look at, even if they are not the best-scoring solutions!
